MU PANHELLENIC ASSOCIATION
From November 2017 to November 2018, I served as the Vice President of Public Relations for the University of Missouri Panhellenic Association. This job includes managing all official social accounts and serving as the public voice and crisis communicator for over 5,000 women who comprise Mizzou PHA. During my time on the PHA Executive Board, I accomplished the following:
-
I branded and organized The Letter Project for Greek women at MU in tandem with the international program
-
I partnered with 2 other Greek councils, the MU Police Department and It's On Us Mizzou to facilitate and host the first Greeks Against Sexual Violence open forum.
-
I started a social media campaign called #TuesdayTips over the summer to ease the pressure that potential new members might experience prior to recruitment. It consisted of sorority women sharing their most embarrassing stories, insider tips and best advice about recruitment in a light-hearted and non-threatening way.
-
I wrote multiple press releases and statements regarding the tragic loss of a Panhellenic woman, the state of Fraternity and Sorority Life at MU and the release of a series of recommendations made by working groups to improve the community.
My term also consisted of gathering, editing and piecing together content for our social channels, working with Public Relations coordinators from our 15 chapters and in different organizations all across campus, presenting to thousands of women on the importance of responsible social media management and designing graphics for organizations like The Accessibility Committee, which is the first ever committee dedicated to the inclusivity of women with disabilities in Panhellenic life.
